The National Housing Conference's (NHC) Annual Budget Forum provides both public and private-sector housing leaders with an extensive first look at housing concerns within the context of the federal budget proposal. This year's event will include a close examination of the President's FY 2011 Budget Proposal, with a particular emphasis on rental housing and homelessness assistance programs.
The featured speaker will be Raphael Bostic, assistant secretary, Policy Development and Research, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
A panel discussion will be moderated by Conrad Egan, immediate past president, National Housing Conference.
Panelists include:
- Jonathan Harwitz, deputy chief of staff, Policy and Programs, HUD;
- Nan Roman, president and CEO, National Alliance to End Homelessness;
- Sheila Crowley, president and CEO, National Low Income Housing Coalition; and
- Sarah Wartell, executive vice president, Center for American Progress.
